HELD ON : Tuesday evenings 7.00pm - 8.00pm
This is a six week course starting on specific dates throughout the year. Please
see the
News / Events section for the dates for the current year.
The course aims to provide a means of socialising puppies and laying down a foundation for
education and training. We run the Kennel Club Good Citizen Dog Scheme Puppy Foundation
Assessment at each of our puppy courses. This is an ongoing assessment carried out during
the six sessions and not a specific test as such. Puppies must attend at least four of the
six sessions to gain their award and all puppies that pass receive a rosette and certificate.
Puppies that have completed their initial course of vaccinations and are not over six months old are
welcome. This is a very popular course and we do restrict the numbers of dogs to a maximum of ten,
so you will need to book a place in advance. To reserve your place, please send us a cheque made payable
to J. Lawer for the full course fee together with your name, address and puppy’s details. We
will send you a confirmation by return.
Upon completion of this six week course we strongly recommend you continue your obedience training.
Many problems arise with dogs between the age of six months and two years if their owners do not
continue with their training. Dog training is for life, not just for six weeks!
Please note that we will only accept dogs with a sound temperament on this course. We can,
however, offer private training or guidance for other dogs.
