Please note that we are based in Cornwall and are not affiliated with any other club operating under the name Capable Canines! Our telephone number for all training enquiries is:
Our preferred method of contact is via email as there will obviously be times when we cannot answer the phone (we may be driving or teaching). However, you can also leave a message or text and we will get back to you as soon as we can.
Please see the Events page for all our forthcoming workshops.
We have now added some workshops to our schedule! Please see the Events page for details of our Agility Foundation sessions for young dogs and beginners as well as a super Workshop on Canine Conditioning and Fitness which is taking place between Christmas and New Year – what better way to help your best friend work off those extra Christmas calories?!
We have now been in our new home for over six months and have been finding it hard to keep travelling back and forth to SE Cornwall. Since our move I have been able to offer some workshops in West Cornwall on behalf of Sharon Cann and Mad Dogs Agility, to whom I am very grateful.
However, it is time to move on and build up our business again in a new location and hence we have acquired the use of a cracking outdoor arena in Shortlanesend near Truro. It offers a huge training area with a nice sand and felt mix surface, which will withstand whatever the weather throws at us! The venue also has plenty of off-road parking on hard-standing, which is quite a luxury for agility folks!
To begin with we will be concentrating on offering classes for competing agility dogs but hopefully will also soon be running Foundation and Beginner classes. We are hoping to offer tailored training to the needs of individuals and will be keeping our group classes to a maximum of six dogs.
Please get in touch if you are interested in attending a group class or wish to book a 1-1 session.
We will soon be offering specific agility workshops on some weekends. These will include Forward Focus and Independence / Distance, Contacts, Weaves and Euro Handling. Keep an eye on our Events Page and our facebook page: search for Capable Canines Cornwall and ask to join!
Please remember if you know a dog exhibiting signs of kennel cough and your dog has been in contact with it during the previous 10 days, your dog may be carrying the virus. Your dog will then not be able to attend classes for a while just to ensure that s/he hasn’t picked it up too.
This also applies to other contagious diseases, so if your dog is exhibiting any signs of anything that may be catching, it is only fair you avoid contact with other dogs.
If in doubt, please contact us. Thank you
I thought it would be a good idea to attach our Feedback Form here. Please feel free to complete one of these at any time if you attend training with us or an event we organise. It is great to have feedback so we can improve on the service we provide.
Your dog MUST be microchipped as of 6th April 2016! If you need advice about this, please ask in class or contact us.
Here is a useful guide from the Kennel Club about how to stay within the law concerning your dog.
